Join UCU |
Full membership requires you to pay a subscription based on your earnings with reduced rates for those on lower incomes. Student membership is free. Please read the explanations below carefully to establish which type of membership you are eligible for.
You can join UCU online via this section of our website by entering your details and, if necessary, setting up a direct debit instruction via a secure connection. To complete your direct debit instruction, you will be asked to supply details of your bank account; if you do not wish to enter these online, you can download an application form to print out, fill in and post to us instead.
If you have previously been a member of UCU, AUT or NATFHE and stopped paying your subscription less than five months ago your membership will not have lapsed and you should not continue with online joining. Instead please contact membership administration to reactivate your membership.
If you are self-employed you cannot currently join online but must fill in a printed application form.
MRC staff and other members wishing to take advantage of our joint membership arrangements with Amicus (CPHVA/MHNVA), BAOT, BDA, BOS, CSP, RCM, RCN, SCP or SOR should complete and return the appropriate hard copy application form available from www.ucu.org.uk/join.
